NEW YEAR in VEGAS
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!
Great New Year! This is the first time I spent the new year outside house. It was
a strange experience and it was very tiring! I think I am a bit old now for this
kind of activities! :)

We left home at about 6pm to get on the bus for free! :) The Strip was not closed
to traffic yet so we stopped at New York New York and started our 5-miles walk up
and down the Strip.
The weather was great, people were walking in their t-shirts and flip-flops but
we were not that bold so we had our coats.

We first stopped by the Bellagio Water Show. It was nice!

Then we go on walking. Meanwhile I was trying to reach Alper but he hadn't heard
my calls yet. So we went into the hotel, the Bellagio.
We played slot for $2. I lost mine but Nesli won it back (she got $2, not more!).
That was fun though!

free.
Then we hit the roads again. The Strip was already closed to traffic. There was
a show at the Mirage where a guy would jump over the volcanos by his bike. There
was a terrible rush. There was around 300,000 people that night and people were
trying to pass that area by a sidewalk only.

We walked all the way up to Circus Circus. ...and finally met Alper. Nesli was very
tired and hungry, so we stopped by a McDonald's and eat and rest a bit.

Then we stopped by the Venetian and went inside. It was not exactly Venice but that
was pretty nice. We should get on the gondols here. They used to charge 100 Euros
in Italy maybe it's cheaper here!
Before it was midnight, we went out again. It was very crowded again, we barely
moved and decided to stay at one spot to watch the fireworks. It was a great show
but I had to pee so I couldn't enjoy it that much!

Well, it was over and we have to go back home (hopefully). The Strip was still closed
to traffic. So bus was not passing by. We were all tired damn too much. We decided
to stop by at Excalibur for a while. While we were sitting at the chairs of slot
machines, we decided to take the cab back home. Yet! there was another deadly queue
for the taxi. So we got out again for the bus. We waited for about an hour but there
was no bus! Bus stop was full of people though. So we made another attemp for a
taxi at Tropicana. While we were walking a Hummer stopped and asked:
Driver: "Do you need a ride?"
Me: "Free ride?"
Driver: "No man!"
While we were walking away, Nesli encouraged me to ask for a price.
Me: "How much would it be till somewhere around UNLV?"
Driver: "25 bucks"
Me: "20?"
Driver: "Come on, get on! ;)"
And finally we got the ride back home in a Hummer!
